Do you offer services in person, or is it only by email/telephone/internet?

I specialize in offering resume services for people who prefer the convenience of having their resume and other career documents  provided to them from the convenience of their home or office. I conduct a no obligation  consultation by phone or email. Your completed resume and/or cover letter documents are then emailed to you within 7-10 business days.
 
How long will it take you to prepare my new resume and cover letter?
In general, 7-10 business days. Same day and 24 hour service is available on a limited basis for an additional fee.
 
What are your qualifications?
I am a certified resume writer with over a decade of experience in Human Resources and Marketing. In fact, I currently consult part time in a marketing role. Your resume is, in fact, a marketing document, which is why my talent as a writer and expertise in marketing and human resources is so effective.

Why hire a professional for writing my resume?
A professional resume writer knows how to craft a resume that gets you an interview. Certified resume writers know what to emphasize and what to omit and how to present your qualifications effectively.  

Who writes my resume?


I do. You hire me based on my qualifications and experience. It is only fair that I am the one who writes your resume. With many larger firms, you do not even know who writes it, much less have the option to call them directly.
 
Is there a way I can see samples of your work? Can I see samples from my industry?

Samples are available on my samples page. I do not give out industry specific samples for a couple of reasons. The primary reason being that I file things according to name, not industry. Trying to find a resume in your specific field could literally take hours. Also, would you want me to hand YOUR resume over to a potential competitor? No, of course not. Sample resumes are created from fictitious people, careers and backgrounds and are designed to give you an idea of the types of resumes I have created in the past that have proven successful.

What formats do you make available for creating my resume?
I use Word 2010 (I have the ability to save it in earlier versions if you do not have Office 2010), PDF and text files.

Am I able to communicate with you while you create my resume?

I am available from 9am-6pm EST Monday -Friday via phone. If you need to speak to me outside of those hours, I have no problems with that, simply email me a time that is convenient for you. I answer emails 7 days a week throughout the day. My husband and I care for my elderly grandparents on the weekends, so sometimes there is a delay on the weekends.

Will you guarantee 100% satisfaction of my results?

If you find you are not satisfied with your resume, I will rewrite it free of charge.

Do you offer refunds?
Due to the nature of my work, I do not offer refunds. The reason is simple- it would be far too easy for someone less scrupulous to say they are not happy simply to get out of paying for a resume ( I say this knowing it has happened, hence the policy!). I do however, want you to be happy. I offer unlimited free revisions after I create your resume and will work on your resume until you are happy!

When do I pay you?
I must receive payment before I begin work on your resume. Once I have your payment, existing resume and questionnaire, I can begin working on it!

How do I pay you?
I accept online payments on my website through Google Checkout (much more secure than PayPal with which several of my previous clients had issues with). You also have the option of mailing a post office money order. In addition, I also offer 'payment plans'. If you would like to pay for your resume in installments, simply email or call me with your preferred payment plan. When I receive your final payment, I will email you your documents.
 
Is my privacy guaranteed?

Yes. Any personal information you share such as personal contact information or credit card information is completely safe. I will not share any of your information with anyone for any reason, ever.

 What kinds of resumes can you create?

I create resumes for job applicants with any field of work and in all career areas. Wether you are applying for your first job, a college graduate, a mom returning to the workforce or even a CEO, I am pleased to work with you in creating an outstanding resume. I am versed in every aspect of the job market, completely understanding the process of writing a properly formatted resume while still meeting all you requirements.

Where do I include my references on my resume?

You should not include your references on your resume. The only time you should provide contact information for your references is when a potential employer is seriously considering you for hire. This ensures that your references are protected from non essential calls.
